Keys To Beginning Reading

Future Indiana Teachers! This course is for pre-service teachers in Indiana who have completed the Keys to Beginning Reading course and taken and passed the PRAXIS exam.

In addition to supporting your preparation of Praxis 5205 & your Literacy Endorsement requirements, you have the opportunity to earn a micro-credential through Credentials Unlimited.

This micro-credential offers you a way to share:

• Confirmation of additional professional learning in foundational literacy skills aligned with the Science of Reading.
• The IDA Accredited Keys to Beginning Reading Badge (seen below) in your signature line highlighting your professional learning.

To qualify for your Keys to Beginning Reading micro-credential you will need to complete the following:

1. Complete the Keys to Beginning Reading online course and download the certificate of completion at the end of the course
2. Pass Praxis 5205
3. Upload your certificate & praxis scores along with the nominal processing fee of $19.99 to the Credentials Unlimited Keys to Beginning Reading micro-credential landing page found HERE
4. Tip: Be sure to use an email address you check regularly and will have access to after graduation!

You may begin the micro-credentialing process at any time by completing the login/payment process. You may upload your required documents as you complete the course and pass Praxis 5205. Once both documents have been uploaded and reviewed you will receive your micro-credential via email.
